Meet Tabitha Starr
Business Builder & Integrator With Bite
So—you’re here to dig a little deeper...
You want to know who’s behind Slight Look, what makes me tick, and if I’m really the one to help you rebuild your business from the root up.
Well, grab a shovel — because I'll dig right alongside you.
My name is Tabitha Starr. I'm the person founders call when they're done trying to figure it all out alone — and ready for someone who can see the whole picture, build the infrastructure underneath it, and actually give a damn about where it goes.
What I Do
I help founders get back in sync with their business—so it actually feels like theirs again.
If you’ve been hustling with heart but something still feels off, I’m the coach who brings strategy, structure, and soul to the table.
We’ll dig deep into your foundations—offers, finances, tech, systems, mindset—and rebuild what’s misaligned. I’ll help you name what’s not working, fix it with a plan that fits your life and energy, and give you the support to grow without losing yourself in the process.
Because I don’t believe in running a business that drains you.
I believe in building one that sustains you.
Why I Do It
I didn’t dream of being a business coach when I was little.
But after enough detours, disasters, and downright bullshit—I knew this was where I was meant to be.
My name is Tabitha Starr, and I built Slight Look because it was my calling to do so.
I started Slight Look on YouTube—just a place for fun, unboxings, and a little creative escape during a life that felt way too heavy.
What I didn’t know then was that Slight Look would one day become the name of my future. The name I’d stand behind while helping others build the businesses—and lives—they were meant for.
Before that, I was the Director of Finance, HR, and Editorial for companies that looked shiny on the outside but were cracked at the core. I’ve worked for founders who got sued by the FTC. I’ve written copy for industries that made my skin crawl. I’ve danced inside spiritual businesses that preached alignment while their backend was in shambles.
And I’ve paid the price. The sleepless nights. The silent sobs at my desk. The hours wasted building businesses that didn’t reflect me. The pivots that felt like failure—but were actually the first signs of truth.
I’ve been burned out, broken down, and bone-deep tired of pretending I was okay.
And I would’ve given anything for someone to see what I couldn’t.
So I became her.
I got my MBA. I got HR-certified. I learned the rules so I could help good people with intention. I took all of that experience—the strategy, the mess, the magic—and poured it into building a business that blends soul with structure, rebellion with results.
Now I help founders create and build businesses that actually hold them, not hollow them out.
Because alignment doesn’t just feel better—it works better.
My Approach
I started my business from a deeply vulnerable place. It was birthed during the middle of a full-blown depression cycle—after a spiritual awakening that cracked me open and placed me in the exact right place at the freakishly exact right time.
(And I mean freakishly—like watching police lead a man with a machete out of the woods I was just about to walk through.)
I wasn’t fresh out of college or dabbling with a side hustle. I was a single mom with a teenager (yes, I was a teen mom), a professional background in finance, HR, and publishing, and a soul that refused to keep shrinking to fit someone else’s idea of “success.”
This business wasn’t a whim—it was a lifeline. And I built it to be the exact kind of support I wish I had when everything in my life and business was coming undone.
I don't show up with a pedestal and a playbook. I show up with lived experience.
✦ From the burnout that crept in disguised as drive
✦ From a first business that broke down because my former partners refused to do the foundational work
✦ From a pivot that cost me everything except my purpose
✦ From the quiet, persistent knowing that my business had to feel like mine — not a carbon copy of someone else's “proven path”
Now I help founders build businesses rooted in truth, strategy, and actual sustainability. I get into your foundation — tech, copy, finances, systems, and the vision underneath all of it — and we build something that supports your life, not the other way around.
High-touch. Real investment. No surface-level anything.
What I Believe To My Core
✶ Foundations first. Always. They’re what hold the version of you you’re becoming.
✶ Alignment is the real power move—your business should feel as good as it performs.
✶ You don’t need another plan you’ll abandon in 3 weeks. You need strategy that fits your soul.
✶ You don’t need to hustle harder, you need a business that actually works for you.
✶ Strategy and soul aren’t opposites—they’re co-founders.
✶ You deserve to be fully supported, not stretched thin or second-guessing.
✶ Your nervous system is not a sacrifice zone for success.
✶ There’s no one-size-fits-all model. We build what actually fits you.
✶ Your business should support your life—not hijack your calendar, your energy, or your sanity.
✶ Mindset work matters—but it’s not a magic eraser for broken offers or systems.
A Few Things to Know About Me...
WHO WANTS TO READ ANOTHER BIOGRAPHY? LET ME HIT YOU WITH THE JUICY HIGHLIGHTS!
First and foremost, I’m a mom—to a brilliant LGBTQ+ kid who keeps me on my toes in the best way possible.
My two wild tiny dogs technically live with me—but let’s be real, they run the household (especially the chihuahua!).
I share an entire library of sexy mysteries with my grandma—we both love Stephanie Bond’s books, and yes, some of them were written when I was in elementary school.
I took interior design classes for fun—and now I bring that love into branding and web design, making businesses look as powerful as they are.
My security system? Creepy antique dolls. Who needs an alarm when Annabelle is sitting pretty by the door?
Once upon a time, I copywrote as a rich 28-year-old frat bro. He had "important" things to do, so I wrote about all things American Greed on his behalf.
Spiritual, but make it strategic. I blend intuition with systems because one without the other is a mess.
Libra Sun. Cancer Moon. Leo Rising. INTJ—yes, I’ve already thought five steps ahead.
Drink of choice? Black coffee with a dash of cayenne—because I like my caffeine spicy & strong.
Working style? Big-picture visionary, detail-obsessed strategist, and creative problem-solver.
Other passions: Haunted houses, hiking, cozy mystery & thriller reads, nerding out over business systems, and feminist rants at inappropriate times.
Oh, and fun fact? I’ve had 80 versions of my website over the past five years—proof that your brand evolves as you do.
Ready When You Are

Let’s make your foundation unshakable.
Let’s do it with strategy, soul, and the support you’ve been craving.
